Yes - SYSTEM. Same happened to me in Northern California. I had a tote with a system of cooking gear accumulated over the course of over two years camping. Another tote had condiments, sauces, etc. Also some things I picked up at thrift stores and garage sales I intended to sell on ebay. Box of stuff I kept at my bedside. A Coleman two burner, dual-fuel stove. Clothes. More I don't even want to recall. Some )((%(&)* just pulled up and threw them into their vehicle. Things you can't just to to Walmart and pick up. Stuff that's no longer made like the perfect cast iron fry pan that worked perfectly for everything. Now I'm reading about break-ins at trailheads. You can't turn around now and something isn't going to be there whey you turn back around. Time to join some kind of militia and live in a compound? Other suggestions welcome. And there was just a news story about a guy in a sprinter type van in the local mountains being charged with two rapes of women he somehow got into his van. Probably going to get worse before it gets worse.

If in fact, they did take your drawer because it has food in it and you are not supposed to leave food out for animals to be drawn to and take this is a valuable lesson and you need to find out one way or the other. I tend to think it was the Camp officials because I think a thief would have taken your table and whatever else that was you had out.
